Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is soliciting applications from eligible government entities, federally recognized Tribes, and nonprofit organizations for cooperative-agreement funding to clean up brownfield sites owned by the applicant. Funding may address hazardous-substance and/or petroleum contamination at one or multiple sites. Applicants may request up to $500,000, or up to $650,000 for a single site if requesting a waiver; a 20% cost share is generally required, with limited waiver provisions described in the announcement. Applications must include the required federal application forms, an Application Information Sheet, narrative responses, threshold eligibility information and supporting documentation, and cost-share information. The application must be submitted through Grants.gov by January 21, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The anticipated project period is four years.
