Kelso School District is seeking a contractor for the temporary installation of 5 portable classrooms, 2 portable restroom trailers, and a gravel parking area for 60 vehicles at Catlin Elementary School in Kelso, Washington. The project includes site improvements such as a new curb cut driveway entrance off NW 2nd Avenue and Galloway Avenue, stormwater mitigation, and installation of temporary electric service to the portables. The contractor will also install structured cabling for voice and data systems, an integrated electronic communications and clock network system, and a fire alarm system in accordance with the drawings. The contractor must coordinate with Cowlitz PUD for electrical service connections and obtain appropriate L&I permits. The contract is a single prime contract based on a stipulated price. Work must comply with Washington State prevailing wage laws, and the contractor must have a current Washington Business License and City of Kelso Business License. All workers must have background checks to work in schools. The anticipated project schedule includes a Notice to Proceed on June 14, 2021, with construction starting on June 21, 2021, and substantial completion by August 23, 2021.
