Description
The West Virginia Department of Health, through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development and operation of a statewide, interoperable clinical provider and organization directory and patient scheduling platform. The platform must enable patients to view real-time provider availability and schedule appointments across in-person, virtual, and in-home care settings. Key requirements include integration with existing Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and payer scheduling systems, an AI-powered consumer navigation tool to guide patients to appropriate care options, and compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other privacy/security regulations. The vendor must also provide outreach, education, workflow mapping, credentialing, data migration, and training for rural clinics, hospitals, and payers. The contract includes a 5-year term with milestone-based payments and annual maintenance and support.
