Description
The Katonah-Lewisboro Union Free School District is requesting proposals from qualified physicians or nurse practitioners to serve as the School Medical Director. This role involves providing comprehensive medical services as prescribed by New York State law and the District's regulations. Key responsibilities include performing physical examinations for students and employees, advising on immunization programs, conducting sports physicals, administering first aid, participating in special education committees, and advising on health education and school policies. The selected provider will also act as a liaison between the District and students' private healthcare professionals and cooperate with public health officials. The contract is proposed as a five-year term, renewable annually, commencing in the 2026-2027 school year, with an estimated annual budget of $35,000. Attendance at games or sporting events is not required.
