Description
Newport Utilities is soliciting proposals for a non-exclusive maintenance and improvements contract covering water and wastewater systems throughout its service area. The scope includes water mains, fittings, valves, fire hydrants, service connections, gravity sewer lines, force mains, manholes, pump stations, wet wells, valve vaults, emergency repairs, directional-drilling assistance, crane-truck work, building maintenance, excavation, backfill, pavement repair, and related labor and equipment. The contract is structured as a one-year term with an option for the owner to renew for an additional two years. Bidders must submit unit prices for 70 work items across three contract years and meet extensive qualification requirements, including a Tennessee MU-A water and wastewater construction license, specified owned equipment and staffing, recent similar project experience, safety and financial documentation, insurance, and three project references. The proposal must include the provided bid forms and supporting qualification exhibits, with two copies of all bid forms.
