Description
The Savannah Airport Commission is soliciting a construction contractor to provide all labor and materials required for tree clearing at the end of Runway 10 at Savannah Airport. The work is classified as tree and shrub removal services and requires examination of the construction plans, specifications, contract documents, and project site. Construction plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained digitally from the Savannah Airport Commission for a nonrefundable $25 fee. The project is federally funded and includes applicable Federal Aviation Administration requirements, including labor provisions, minimum wage rates, Equal Employment Opportunity, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Buy America Preference, and Title VI provisions. A bid bond or certified check of at least 5% of the total bid is required; the successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the awarded contract value, subject to the stated exception for contracts under $100,000.
