Description
Kern High School District is soliciting a lump-sum bid for sealing and polishing indicated concrete floors and providing resinous flooring for the Vista Continuation High School modernization project. The work includes concrete floor preparation, primers, coatings, sealers, resinous flooring systems, hardeners, dyes, stains, fillers, grout, accessories, mockups, moisture testing, grinding, joint caulking, dust containment, protection of adjacent finishes, cleanup, and as-built documentation. The prime contractor and applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors must be prequalified under California Public Contract Code section 20111.6. Prospective bidders must submit the Owner-provided prequalification questionnaire and financial statement no later than ten business days before bid opening and must be announced as prequalified no later than five business days before bid opening. The estimated bid value is $195,422.53, the project duration is 490 calendar days, and the bid requires 10 percent bid security plus 100 percent payment and performance bonds. The project also includes a three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal, prevailing-wage and public-works requirements, contractor licensing, and specified insurance coverage.
