Description
The Brazos River Authority is requesting statements of qualifications from engineering firms for an investigation and potential improvement program at Sterling C. Robertson Dam. The scope includes assessing the condition, functionality, reliability, and serviceability of the Hydrostatic Pressure Relief System and its instrumentation; evaluating the stilling basin and concrete components through underwater visual, video, sonar, and drain-pipe inspections; and conducting topographic, structural, bathymetric, hydraulic, hydrologic, seepage, and stability analyses. The selected firm may also be authorized to develop preliminary and final designs, prepare bidding documents, provide bidding support, and perform construction administration, engineering, and resident-project-representative services. Recommended improvements must address erosion, scour, dam safety, and system performance with an additional minimum service life of 40 years, while complying with applicable USACE and Texas requirements. Proposals are limited to 25 pages excluding resumes and required forms, and price information must not be included.
