Description
Tyler Junior College is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for weekly grounds maintenance across its campuses and satellite facilities. The selected contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and supervision to maintain approximately 40 acres of college grounds in professional condition. The scope includes mowing, varying mowing patterns where feasible, weedeating and trimming along approximately 45 miles of sidewalks, buildings, trees, and other structures, edging along sidewalks, curbs, and valve boxes, and removing grass clippings and other debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and paved surfaces. The contractor must supply its own equipment, provide company-identifying uniforms for assigned personnel, and follow applicable safety standards. The initial award term is three years, with two optional one-year renewals, for a maximum term of five years. Proposers must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit, submit five similar-service references from the previous five years, and provide the required vendor forms, pricing, certifications, and proposal materials. The selected vendor must provide specified insurance coverage and name Tyler Junior College as an additional insured.
