Description
The City of Longview is soliciting bids for an annual requirements contract to supply hydrofluorosilicic acid for potable-water treatment. The chemical must be a minimum 18.7% content, meet a minimum specific gravity of 1.22, and comply with NSF/ANSI Standard 60. Deliveries will be made in truckload lots of at least 4,000 gallons, on an as-needed basis, with estimated annual usage of approximately 74 tons and no guaranteed purchase volume. The contractor must deliver to the Sabine, Cherokee, and Lake O' the Pines water treatment plants, provide shipment documentation including a certificate of analysis and purity assay, certified weight certificate, and MSDS, and provide safety training, handling materials, warning signs, placards, offloading procedures, and emergency-response capability. The contract has a one-year term with four additional one-year renewal options. Bids must include three verifiable references and the completed bid forms and certifications identified in the solicitation.
