Description
The University of Wyoming is soliciting bids for installation of approximately 2,700 linear feet of buried 3-inch HDPE DR17 waterline to provide year-round water service for cattle. The work includes tapping an existing 6-inch water main, installing a precast vault with a backflow preventer, isolation valves, tracer wire, horizontal directional drilling where required, concrete foundations, piping, and two Cattlemaster 840 cattle watering units or approved equals. The contractor must provide all labor and materials, coordinate utility and fence work, maintain at least six feet of cover over the pipeline, test the backflow assembly and tracer wire, and verify that both stock tanks operate without leakage. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Public Purchase site using University of Wyoming forms. Substantial completion is required by December 1, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid site visit and walk-through is required, and bids over $150,000 require a 5% bid bond.
