Description

IDEA Public Schools is soliciting a turnkey Category Two network infrastructure solution for five Texas campuses. The scope includes new wireless access points, switches, racks, uninterruptible power supplies/battery backups, antennas, connectors, cabling, and related equipment, along with delivery, secure storage, installation, configuration, testing, performance validation, maintenance, removal and inventory of legacy equipment, project management, and closeout documentation. Equipment must be new, current-production, manufacturer-supported, and compatible with IDEA's existing Cisco/Meraki environment; functionally equivalent products may be proposed subject to technical documentation and a deviations list. District-furnished software licensing and subscriptions generally are not to be priced, except that alternate solutions must separately identify any required licensing or platform costs. The selected vendor must provide qualified implementation personnel, including project management and manufacturer certification for the proposed solution, comply with E-Rate and applicable federal, state, and local requirements, and provide a valid SPIN, FCC Registration Number, and red-light-status statement. Required deliverables include equipment inventories, access-point and cabling as-built maps, and updates to the manufacturer's portal. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2028, with one optional one-year renewal term.
