Description
The City of Duluth is soliciting construction bids for a new playground at Norton Park, along with accessibility improvements and various related site improvements. The selected contractor will enter into a construction contract and must comply with the project specifications, Minnesota law, applicable prevailing-wage requirements, and equal-employment-opportunity requirements. A 5% bid surety is required with each bid. The awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds in the full project amount and proof of public liability and automobile liability insurance with limits of at least $1,500,000 single limit; these post-award requirements are due within seven calendar days of award. A Project Labor Agreement is required for bids over, or that could virtually exceed, $150,000, with related community-benefits requirements for projects subject to a PLA.
