Description
The City of Duluth is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering/testing firms to provide preconstruction geotechnical services for a consolidated maintenance campus. The scope includes approximately 25 soil borings, geotechnical drilling, soil and groundwater analysis, subsurface materials testing, and design recommendations for new buildings, site grading, and bituminous paving. The selected firm will coordinate with the City's architecture/engineering consultants and construction manager. The project area includes approximately six acres of grading and paving and approximately 70,000 square feet of new building construction, with demolition and relocation of existing structures. The proposal must include the firm's approach, deliverables, timeline, key personnel resumes, three similar project examples, references, and a lump-sum not-to-exceed cost with supporting cost details. The technical submittal is limited to 15 single-sided pages, or eight double-sided pages; the cost submittal must be separately sealed.
