Description
Fraser Public Schools seeks a qualified, licensed telecommunications contractor to relocate its primary fiber-optic head-end, expand outside-plant connectivity among district buildings, and establish a new data center at Richards Middle School. The work includes engineering and site surveys; migration, testing, and splicing of existing fiber; directional boring and installation of new underground pathways and direct-buried fiber; connections to school and operations buildings; installation of data center cabinets, fiber patch panels, and related equipment; and testing, labeling, and as-built documentation. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and permits. The proposal must include a technical approach and migration plan, proposed splicing and labeling scheme, material data sheets, project schedule, detailed cost breakdown, bill of materials with line-item pricing, and required proposal forms and affidavits. The RFP requires four hard copies and two digital copies on USB drives, submitted in sealed packaging; email and other electronic bids are not accepted. A 5% bid security is required. Performance and labor and material payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract sum, and certificates of insurance are required from the selected contractor before work begins.
