Description
The City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department seeks a qualified commercial locksmith and door-hardware contractor for as-needed work at its facilities. The scope includes furnishing, delivering, installing, repairing, replacing, rekeying, programming, testing, and maintaining commercial keys and key systems, cylinders and interchangeable cores, locksets, exit devices, door closers, hinges, electric hardware, access-control components, key cabinets, safes, and related hardware. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, programming devices, and incidentals; maintain 24/7 emergency dispatch capability; acknowledge routine requests within one business day; provide service reports, keying and access-control documentation, product data, warranty information, and corrective work; and meet applicable licensing, training, security-screening, badging, insurance, and safety requirements. The contract term is five years, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of comparable commercial or institutional experience and provide three recent project references.
