Description
Orange County, New York is soliciting bids for on-call interior and exterior door repair and replacement services at various County-owned, operated, or leased sites. The scope includes wood and hollow-metal doors, frames, hardware, hinges, locksets, closers, exit devices, weatherstripping, thresholds, sweeps, drip caps, viewing panes, finishes, adjustments, fabrication, removal, installation, and servicing of standard and commercial door systems. The contractor must provide qualified staff, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and labor; respond to service calls within 48 hours; provide written estimates and obtain written authorization before performing repairs; and submit repair reports after completion. Complete replacement work includes site verification, demolition and disposal, framing modifications, installation, code compliance, commissioning, and cleanup. Prevailing-wage requirements apply. Bidders must have at least five years of relevant experience, submit references, provide proof of New York State Department of Labor registration, include a $500 bid security, and submit the required bid forms, certifications, and business documents. The initial contract term is three years, with one optional two-year renewal and a possible additional extension of up to three months.
