Description
The Cape Girardeau Police Department is soliciting a contractor to provide vehicle lockout services for vehicles with manual and power/electric locking systems, using methods intended to minimize damage. Services must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays, with coverage within the City of Cape Girardeau, Interstate 55 within city limits, and Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. The contractor must dispatch a service unit within 15 minutes of a call from the Police or Fire Department. The contractor must maintain complete service records and provide monthly reports to the Police Department. The bidder must propose a maximum flat charge for City-initiated lockout services, with the rate remaining constant regardless of the time or day of service unless otherwise authorized in writing. Liability insurance is required before services begin, with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per accident or occurrence and $300,000 per person. The initial agreement is renewable for up to two additional one-year terms by mutual agreement.
