Description
The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry is soliciting proposals for occupational medical examination services for selected employees, including physicians, nurses, audiometric and spirometric technicians, and radiologists meeting specified Virginia licensure, certification, and occupational-medicine qualifications. Services include pre-employment and periodic physical examinations, work and medical histories, physical examinations, chest X-rays, pulmonary-function and audiometric testing, electrocardiograms, hematologic and other laboratory tests, tuberculosis screening, hepatitis B vaccination, lead testing, respirator clearance, and post-exposure follow-up. The contractor must schedule initial examinations within one week of new-hire notification and other examinations within two weeks of employee contact, provide health-screening packets, explain results, issue required medical and fitness notifications, consult with the agency on restrictions and accommodations, maintain medical records, and transfer records at contract termination. The contract period is three years, from October 2026 through October 2029, with two additional one-year renewal options. Proposals are evaluated on methodology, price, personnel qualifications and experience, the small-business subcontracting plan, and client references.
