Description
The Town of Ashland is seeking one or more engineering firms to provide professional services to its Public Works Department on an as-needed basis. The scope includes roadway, drainage, park, and municipal-facility design; surveying; specifications and bid-document preparation; site-plan and subdivision review; traffic-impact analysis; permitting; stormwater compliance under MS4 and VSMP requirements; and related civil engineering services. Assignments may also include construction engineering and inspection, construction materials testing, construction-project management, assistance with bidding, VDOT and FHWA forms, construction records, environmental permitting, and support for public hearings. The contract is nonexclusive, may be awarded to multiple engineers, runs from signing through December 31, 2027, and may be renewed by mutual agreement for up to four additional 12-month periods. Proposals may not exceed 35 pages, excluding required forms and certifications, and must include a cover letter, firm qualifications and relevant experience, similar projects completed within the last 10 years, and three professional references.
