Description
Henrico County is soliciting construction services to renovate Johnson Elementary School, a 53,879-square-foot occupied campus. The work includes a new main security entry and public entrance; modernization of the cafetorium, library, multipurpose building, administrative offices, and classroom buildings; selective demolition and abatement; masonry and interior partitions; window replacement; roofing repairs and replacement; accessibility and life-safety improvements; interior finishes; mechanical, electrical, selective plumbing, and building energy-management-system upgrades; and restroom, casework, ceiling, and finish improvements. Site work includes reconfiguration of parking and the bus loop, bus-loop canopy installation, site lighting, fencing, grading, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management, utilities, driveways, paving, sidewalks, signage, landscaping, and a public shared-use path. Construction must be phased around normal classroom operations, with temporary modular classrooms available on site, and must comply with current accessibility standards and applicable codes.
