Henrico County is soliciting construction services for HVAC improvements at its Department of Public Utilities Water Treatment Facility and Raw Water Pump Station. The work includes removing and disposing of multiple air-conditioning units, associated condensers and refrigerant piping, an air-cooled chiller, and a through-the-wall air conditioner; recovering refrigerant in compliance with applicable regulations; and replacing the listed systems. The project also includes complete replacement of the facilities’ direct digital control system and associated controls, floor drains and a neutralization basin connection for emergency plumbing fixtures, a tepid-water circulation line, and supporting structural and architectural work such as door-opening enlargement, pipe penetrations, concrete equipment pads, supplemental steel framing, and roof-deck flashing. Work is to be completed in three phases, with priority assigned to Phases 1, 2, and 3 in that order; testing, adjusting, and balancing is included with the phase in which each item of equipment is installed.
