Description
The U.S. Coast Guard requires annual confidence testing, inspection, certification, and restoration of fire alarm, fire suppression, chemical extinguishing, dry sprinkler, and wet sprinkler systems at Base Seattle. The contractor must provide all personnel, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and labor; inspect and test alarm panels, batteries, initiating and notification devices, extinguishing systems, sprinkler systems, and related components; replace specified fusible links; tag tested systems; restore systems to working order; and identify and report deficiencies and code discrepancies. The contractor must have at least five years of specialized experience and use trained, appropriately certified personnel. The submission must include a technical approach, personnel qualifications and certifications, work plan and schedule, required certifications, up to three relevant past-performance examples from the past five years, and a complete firm-fixed-price breakdown on SF 1449. Required deliverables include work-plan and timetable submissions, inspection and compliance documentation, and printed/bound and electronic discrepancy and failure reports, including recommendations for modernization or code upgrades.
