Bids must be submitted prior to the bid opening to the St. Charles County Finance Department, 201 North Second Street Room 541, St. Charles, Missouri 63301. Bids will be opened in Room 115 on Friday, 10/09/26 at 10:00 am, in the St. Charles County Administration Building, 201 North Second Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. Description
St. Charles County is seeking a contractor to provide daily laboratory sample courier services seven days per week, 365 days per year, including designated holidays. The contractor will pick up sealed coolers containing environmental laboratory samples and chain-of-custody forms at 1605 Wentzville Parkway in Wentzville, Missouri, deliver them to the State Public Health Lab at 101 N. Chestnut Street in Jefferson City by 12:00 p.m., and return a cooler containing supplies to the Wentzville office the following day. Coolers weigh approximately 30 pounds when loaded and must remain sealed with tamper tape; the contractor must provide written chain-of-custody receipts. The initial contract runs from a mutually agreed start date through December 31, 2027, with options for two additional 12-month renewal periods in 2028 and 2029. Bidders must provide daily rates for weekdays, weekends, and holidays for each contract year, plus any fuel surcharge and other applicable costs. The successful bidder must self-perform the services unless the County gives prior written permission for subcontracting. Required insurance includes workers’ compensation, employer’s liability, automobile, general liability, and property damage coverage, with specified limits and County additional-insured and waiver-of-subrogation provisions. The bid package includes a bid form, exception sheet, vendor information, anti-discrimination certification, and a notarized work-authorization affidavit; the latter may be submitted with the bid or maintained on file as permitted by the solicitation.
