Description
The City of Fort Myers is seeking professional engineering and related consulting services to replace the existing open Carrell Canal drainage conveyance between U.S. 41 and the Ten Mile Canal with a closed drainage system. The scope includes project management; review of existing studies and data; surveying; utility coordination and subsurface utility investigations; supplemental geotechnical investigations; closed drainage design; and design of a permanent emergency pumping station near the Ten Mile Canal, south of Palm Avenue, with mechanical, electrical, and structural components. The selected consultant must prepare permit-ready construction documents at the 30%, 60%, and 100% design stages, including plans, technical specifications, details, and opinions of probable construction cost. Services also include permitting assistance, bidding-phase support, construction support, shop-drawing and submittal review, responses to requests for information and proposed substitutions, closeout support, and grant administration. The project also incorporates a 12-foot-wide asphalt multi-use path. Responses must be organized as a signed single PDF, and compensation information, fee schedules, hourly rates, and pricing may not be included in the statement of qualifications unless specifically requested after ranking.
