Description
Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District is soliciting sealed lump-sum bids for Building #3 industrial pump replacement at its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes removing and disposing of existing pumps, motors, piping, valves, fittings, conduit, wiring, control panels, and related materials; furnishing, installing, and testing two new pumps and associated mechanical and electrical equipment; and constructing a temporary 72-hour flow diversion. The project also includes asbestos-containing pipe removal and disposal, lead-based coating mitigation and disposal, modifications to control-room openings, installation of access grating, installation of an overhead crane system, site cleanup, project coordination, and coordination with subcontractors and the owner/engineer. The facility must remain operational during construction, and all work must comply with OSHA requirements. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 14, 2026, and bids are due November 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. Bid security equal to 10% of the bidder's maximum price is required.
