Description
The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority is requesting qualifications from firms or teams to provide architectural and design services for a new multimodal rail station and associated structured parking garage. The selected firm will perform site analysis, surveying, geotechnical investigations as needed, preliminary and final design, cost estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, value engineering, permitting, environmental clearance, and advanced engineering. The facility is intended to replace the deteriorated Adam Benjamin Metro Center and integrate commuter rail, local and intercity bus service, regional trail and first/last-mile connections, approximately 425 structured commuter parking spaces, and roadway and circulation improvements. Required disciplines include architecture; structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, interiors, and environmental services. The proposal must address community engagement, firm and subconsultant qualifications, key personnel, similar projects and past performance, capacity and availability, references, active contracts, and MBE/WBE participation. Hourly rates are required by staff position, while the overall fee will be negotiated after selection.
