Description

School City of Hammond is soliciting proposals for Category 2 network equipment and basic maintenance for its eligible school locations. The requested equipment includes two Cisco Catalyst wireless LAN controllers, eight Cisco switches with associated power supplies, stacking cables, SFP modules, software and licenses, one APC Smart-UPS battery backup, cabling, SFP28 jumpers, and antennas, connectors, and related components. Equivalent equipment may be proposed if it provides comparable functionality and is compatible with the existing network. Equipment must be new, factory-sealed, currently available from the manufacturer, and covered by original manufacturer warranties. Optional installation pricing may be provided, although installation services are not requested; any installation bid would include staging, configuration loading, preparation for mounting, removal and replacement of existing equipment, testing, and documentation. Proposals must provide detailed line-item pricing, separate eligible and ineligible costs, identify manufacturers and part numbers, address equivalent-product functionality, include manufacturer certifications and experience, provide two similar-project references, state the vendor's E-Rate SPIN number, and include a ready-to-execute or sample contract incorporating the stated E-Rate contingencies. The district also requests four-year Cisco SmartNet pricing, paid annually, and Cisco DNA licenses priced as additions to its existing agreement.
