Description
This Sources Sought notice is for market research to identify contractors capable of performing a Design-Build project for a covered parking structure designed to accommodate two F-35 fighter aircraft. The structure will be a non-enclosed, standing seam metal roof canopy, utilizing construction methods such as Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) block, or tilt-up concrete panels. The design and construction must comply with Miami-Dade County building requirements and high-velocity wind zone specifications, including adherence to ASCE/SEI 7-10 and the Florida Building Code. All hardware must be galvanized per ASTM A 153, unless stainless steel is used. The project scope includes lightning protection, pavement striping, and tie-down/mooring points for aircraft securing. The contractor will be responsible for providing design submittal packages at 35%, 65%, 100% pre-final, and 100% final stages, adhering to ANGETL 24-02 guidelines.
