Description
The Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking highly qualified staffing agencies or independent contractors to provide dedicated psychiatric nursing services for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions at two correctional facilities, with possible future expansion. Services include staffing therapeutic community, residential treatment, and substance-induced psychosis units, including medication administration and compliance monitoring, patient education, individual and group therapeutic sessions, multidisciplinary staffings, urine analysis testing, and coordination with correctional and clinical personnel. Personnel must hold an active, unencumbered Colorado registered nurse license, possess dedicated and verifiable inpatient psychiatric nursing experience, and have proven clinical experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders. Additional requirements include correctional-facility training, defensive tactics training, credentialing, security and background checks, HIPAA and accessibility compliance, insurance, and other facility requirements. The anticipated contract includes a base period from December 31, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal periods.
