Description
Cameron County is soliciting bids for a term contract covering tire repairs for County vehicles, patrol vehicles, off-road machinery, heavy vehicles, and other listed equipment. The scope includes drop-in shop repairs and roadside repairs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and 24-hour coverage as needed. Repair pricing must include applicable service calls, trip charges or mileage, parts, patches, valve stems, labor, and other service charges; tubes and boots are priced separately. Tire plugs are prohibited, and roadside response must begin within two hours of receiving a call. The County intends to award up to three supplier levels based on net unit cost, with separate geographic categories for the Harlingen/San Benito area and the Brownsville/Los Fresnos area. Bidders must maintain a permanent, full-time-operated shop in the applicable area and provide at least three current client references within Cameron County. The initial term runs from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027, with options for two additional one-year renewals. Responses must include the completed bid packet, required attachments and forms, pricing, applicable tire-repair catalogs, references, and a repair method, procedure, and schedule.
