Description
The Brownsville Navigation District is soliciting proposals for repairs and improvements to the Port of Brownsville North Tank, a 1-million-gallon steel tank. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidental resources to install one 6-inch flapper gate/overflow screen; remove and install a new interior galvanized safety climb system meeting applicable ANSI and OSHA requirements; replace 18 wind rods; and replace 9 erection rods. The work includes testing and inspection, fall protection and site safety, coordination with Port operations and site access, debris removal, and correction of defective work. Proposals are evaluated on relevant experience and past performance, technical approach, project management and schedule, and price. Required submission materials include the Respondent's Acknowledgment Form, Vendor Registration and Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, Government Code Chapters 2270 and 2252 Disclosure Statement, Statement of Non-Collusion, proof of insurance, and Certificate of Interested Parties Form 1295. Performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance are required from the successful vendor, with the bond forms and insurance requirements provided in the solicitation package.
