Description
The Town of Rancho Viejo is soliciting proposals from qualified independent certified public accounting firms to perform the audit of its financial statements for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026. The scope includes financial statement auditing, application of applicable GASB standards, internal-control evaluation, compliance work, required auditor communications, management-letter findings and recommendations, and a governing-body presentation. A Single Audit and related federal-award reporting must be performed if required by federal law or Uniform Guidance; otherwise, it is excluded from the base fee. The selected firm must demonstrate experience auditing Texas municipalities or comparable governmental entities, maintain applicable Texas licensing and professional independence, provide qualified engagement personnel, and submit a detailed audit approach, schedule, references, fee proposal, peer-review information, and conflict-of-interest disclosures. The Town may negotiate up to four additional annual audit periods after the FY2026 engagement, subject to authorization, funding, performance, and continued independence.
