Description
Cameron County seeks a concessionaire to operate a snack bar and recreational rental business at its nature park. The concessionaire will provide and rent kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, and related equipment, including paddles and personal flotation devices, and may sell approved snacks, beverages, convenience items, fishing gear, bait, and promotional merchandise. Motorized watercraft and recreational vehicles are prohibited, and the snack bar is described as equipped for snack items rather than cooking. The solicitation also includes a broader list of permitted hot and cold food offerings, subject to applicable facility limitations and County approval. The agreement is for five years from the contract award date. Bidders must propose an annual guaranteed rent; payment is based on the monthly share of that guarantee or 10% of gross receipts, whichever is greater. The successful concessionaire must provide operating personnel and equipment, maintain required licenses, and submit financial records and monthly reports. A $500 cashier’s check is required with the bid. Insurance documentation is due after award, not with the bid.
