Description
Fort Worth Independent School District is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified general contractors for the North Side Pyramid Middle School Consolidation project under its 2021 Capital Improvement Program. The work includes construction of an approximately 123,750-square-foot middle school facility attached to the existing JP Elder Annex, with steel and cold-formed metal framing, exterior veneer systems, a storm shelter, classroom wings, science laboratories, cafeteria and kitchen areas, athletics locker rooms, track-equipment storage, and a dumpster enclosure. The project also includes renovation of the approximately 41,200-square-foot annex, including interior modifications for a media center, art room, theatrical room, and classrooms; repainting; replacement of exterior doors and frames; window and security-screen work; elevator removal; fire-sprinkler upgrades; and new public-address and fire-alarm systems tied to the new building. Site work includes demolition of existing structures and portables, demolition of the main building and portions of parking, construction of new parking and a track, site fill, and retaining walls. The stated construction budget is $76,000,000, including a 5% owner's contingency.
