Description
The U.S. Air Force is procuring one new high-pressure, high-temperature microwave digestion system using a single reaction chamber or pressurized digestion cavity. The system must provide at least 1,500 watts of magnetron power, digestion pressure up to 199 bar, temperatures up to 300°C, magnetic stirring for each vessel or liner, contactless temperature control, TFM vials and caps with racks, a 208-to-230 VAC transformer with a NEMA 6-15 plug, and a built-in touchpad. Refurbished equipment is not acceptable. The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, travel, labor, installation, and familiarization training for two to three people over one business day. Delivery and installation must be coordinated within five business days after award and completed no later than 90 days after award. The purchase also includes a one-year extended-care warranty covering travel, non-consumable parts, labor, priority service scheduling, and annual preventive maintenance. Contractor personnel performing on-site work must comply with installation security, safety, environmental, training, and access requirements, including submission of a Safety and Health Plan before award and completion of required environmental and energy-management training.
