Description
The University of Connecticut Health Center is soliciting bids for a complete temporary ADA-compliant access ramp system connecting the Procedures Center building exit to a temporary MRI trailer. The contractor must perform site evaluation, design and engineering, provide PE-stamped drawings and calculations, fabricate and install the ramp and platform, furnish an engineered weather-protective covering, and provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, inspections, supervision, and incidental services. The ramp must include an approximately 5-foot-wide by 55-foot-long by 52-inch-high platform, compliant slopes and landings, handrails, guardrails, edge protection, a non-slip year-round walking surface, and compliance with ADA, OSHA, Connecticut building codes, and applicable local requirements. The contractor must maintain the system during the rental period, provide monthly and daily rental pricing for the associated trailer and equipment, complete installation between Saturday and Monday before approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday when the trailer is returned, and later dismantle, remove, dispose of, and restore the site. Subcontracting is not allowed. The contract term is up to 24 months beginning on or about December 1, 2026, with a possible month-to-month extension of up to 12 additional months.
