Description
The Indian Health Service, Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) in Shiprock, New Mexico, intends to negotiate a sole source award with Hardenbergh Group Inc. for management consulting services (NAICS 541618). The required services include independent physician peer review, Initial Professional Practice Evaluations (IPPE), Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE), and professional practice reviews for inpatient and outpatient medical records. The contractor must provide qualified, board-certified physician reviewers who are free from conflicts of interest. Reviews will cover various clinical disciplines, and timely completion, generally within twenty-one (21) days, is required. The contractor will facilitate communication, provide reviewer qualifications, and maintain review procedures, ensuring all care and documentation meet the applicable standard of care. Compliance with HIPAA and other privacy requirements is mandatory, along with secure handling of protected health information. The contract has a base period of 12 months, with three 12-month option periods.
