Description
Cortland County is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide professional services for the update of the Cortland County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). The selected consultant will be responsible for completing all activities necessary to produce a FEMA and New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) approvable Hazard Mitigation Plan, adhering to 44 CFR Part 201 and current New York State mitigation planning standards. The project is expected to be completed within nine months from the contract execution date. The county intends to utilize the MitigateNY planning framework to streamline the process. The updated plan must meet all FEMA and NYSDHSES requirements, include updated risk assessments, mitigation strategies, capability assessments, and implementation procedures, and support participation and adoption by all municipalities.
