Description
The City of Springfield is seeking one or more qualified firms to provide on-call consulting forester/arborist services for public works construction projects throughout Springfield. Services may include intermediate- and advanced-level tree canopy evaluations, tree inventories, risk assessments, tree health and maintenance assessments, damage appraisal, reforestation and species-selection recommendations, tree preservation planning, construction-site and tree-protection inspections, plan review, reporting, presentations, and training for City personnel and consultants. The selected consultant must provide project-specific fee estimates and schedules, respond to emergency assignments within 24 to 72 hours, prepare professionally bound and signed reports in electronic and hard-copy formats, and support projects through concept, design, construction, and post-construction phases. The City may award contracts to multiple firms. Proposals must include the required City forms, project approach narrative, references and experience, personnel qualifications, fee schedule, and other specified certifications and attachments.
