Description
The Town of Basile is soliciting bids for the construction of sewer system improvements. This project is being financed in whole or in part by the LDEQ Clean Water State Revolving Fund. Bidders must obtain bidding documents directly from the Engineer, Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc., located at 100 Engineer Place, Alexandria, Louisiana 71303. Bidding documents are available for a non-refundable cost of $40.00 per copy. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the maximum bid price, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. Bids cannot be withdrawn within 45 days of opening, or 120 days if financed by bonds to be sold after receipt of bids or federal/other funds not readily available. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Successful bidders must possess an active Unique Entity ID (UEI) verified on www.sam.gov. The project is subject to requirements for American Iron and Steel, Davis-Bacon Act wage provisions, and equal employment opportunity regulations, including Presidential Executive Orders 11625, 12138, 12432, 12549, and 13202. Specific clauses regarding Equal Opportunity, Historical Preservation, and Endangered Species are also included.
