Description
The Greater Rockford Airport Authority seeks a qualified, licensed contractor to convert an existing jet fuel tank at 40 Airport Drive into a diesel fueling system for vehicles and equipment. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, incidental materials, permits, inspections, and final system startup. Installation is required, and the project is subject to prevailing-wage and insurance requirements. The scope includes removing existing jet-fuel equipment and related components; sealing unused tank openings and the tank manway; installing a steel dispenser containment stand with shear valve, aboveground steel piping, remote fill cabinet, fill adapter and cap, steel risers, dispenser sump sensor, low-voltage and power wiring, and a single-product, single-hose diesel dispenser with nozzle, swivel, breakaway, hose, and hose retractor. The contractor must check for leaks, coordinate final inspection with the Fire Marshal, demonstrate at least five years of fuel-tank experience, and provide at least three references for comparable services. Pricing is lump sum and will be part of the evaluation, although it will not be the sole determinant.
