Description
The University of Oregon is seeking a trained and licensed pest-management specialist to provide long-term pest prevention, suppression, inspection, eradication, and pesticide application in accordance with the University's Integrated Pest Management Program. Services include treatment of rats, mice, ants, spiders, cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, termites, and other pests; inspection and work-plan development; consultation on products and regulatory issues; pesticide recordkeeping and disposal; and coordination with University personnel. The contractor must also provide pest management in subsurface utility tunnels, undergo University tunnel-safety training, use the University's maintenance-management software to receive and document work orders, provide 24/7 priority response with telephone contact within 60 minutes and onsite response within four hours for emergencies, and maintain appropriately licensed personnel, vehicles, uniforms, identification badges, safety equipment, and Safety Data Sheets. The scope includes safe honeybee removal and relocation and, when possible, live trapping, removal, and humane treatment of animals such as birds, raccoons, cats, and dogs. Proposals must address the requested technical approach, experience, personnel, references, licenses, financial capability, examples of site-specific solutions, maintenance and escalation procedures, sustainability, and itemized pricing.
