Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is conducting a Request for Information regarding future indefinite-quantity contracts for full-line USDA Grade No. 1 or better fresh fruits and vegetables, with shell eggs for Puerto Rico troop customers if required. The contemplated procurement would support Department of War troop and USDA school customers in the South Florida and Puerto Rico Zone, divided into two groups with multiple customer subgroups; the agency intends to make one award per group, and vendors may propose on any or all groups but must offer all market-basket items within each selected group. The market research survey requests information about a company's ability to serve the listed delivery points, provide local Puerto Rico egg support, subcontract where necessary, support possible expansion to Honduras and Panama, and operate the STORES electronic ordering/invoicing system and FFAVORS Web ordering system. The survey also asks about company size, registrations, government experience, delivery requirements, and small-business sourcing. This is market research only and is not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. The contemplated structure identifies a 24-month period of performance, a five-year contract estimate of $34,220,000, and a 300% maximum value of $102,660,000.
