Description
Johnson County Community College seeks a qualified mechanical contractor to remove and dispose of existing equipment and replace one tower pump assembly, with separate pricing for an alternate scope replacing two pumps concurrently. The contractor must provide rigging, tools, labor, materials, and specialized supervision; perform alignment and commissioning as applicable; follow manufacturer-approved startup procedures; and dispose of the old units off-site in an environmentally compliant manner. Replacement pumps must be engineered and manufactured by Douglas Fairbanks or Bell & Gossett. The response must include itemized pricing for the base and alternate scopes, company information, at least three similar-project references, a project approach and timeline, evidence of existing insurance, and other requested response sections. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid total is required with the response. Performance and public works bonds are required of the successful contractor before work begins, subject to the stated public works bond exception for projects below $100,000.
