Description
The City of Fairfax is requesting proposals from a qualified planning and engineering architecture/engineering firm to conduct an alternatives evaluation and develop a recommended concept plan for the Fairfax Circle intersection and associated transportation improvements. The work will support the transformation of the Fairfax Circle Activity Center into a sustainable, mixed-use, walkable district and gateway to the city. The study will address operational and safety deficiencies at the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard, Routes 29/50, and Blenheim Boulevard, with emphasis on reconfiguring the intersection and multimodal network to accommodate vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and other modes more safely and comfortably.
