Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seeks procurement, installation, configuration, integration, and commissioning of an enterprise electronic smart key box system for secure, auditable management of physical brass keys used by security personnel and other authorized staff. The system must improve key issuance and return accountability, reduce unauthorized access and loss, provide the Security Operations Center with real-time event visibility, support PIV credentials and multifactor authentication including PIN and/or biometrics, integrate with CDC networks and security workflows, and provide backup power and controlled manual override capabilities. The systems will be installed at six locations: Roybal Campus Building 20 with 80-key capacity; Roybal Campus Buildings 17, 18, and 23 with 40-key capacity each; Chamblee Campus Building 106 with 40-key capacity; and Lawrenceville Campus with 20-key capacity. The project is intended to replace outdated and unreliable key-control systems and manual procedures.
