Description
The Town of Hampton is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of sodium bisulfite (NaHSO₃) to its wastewater treatment plant. The product must contain 38–40% total reducing substances, less than 3% sodium sulfite, less than 3% sodium sulfate, less than 0.003% iron, and a pH of 3.5–5.0%. Each delivery must include an analysis of the product composition. Deliveries will be made in shipments of 2,000–3,500 gallons within three days of notification, with approximately 30,000 gallons used annually. Delivery trucks must have a 2-inch male quick coupling compatible with the Town’s feed connector and their own pump for off-loading. Bidders must submit pricing per gallon for 2027 and 2028, with prices held firm for the two-year contract term. Subcontracting is prohibited. The submission must include a completed bid package and bid form, a qualifications summary, and three comparable references. Insurance documentation is required before contract execution, including general liability, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation coverage.
