Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is soliciting bids to establish a purchase order for the replacement and installation of security control systems serving the J1, J2, J3, and J4 pickets at the Briscoe Unit. The work includes replacing control panels and enclosures at four picket locations; designing, manufacturing, and installing 12 graphic control panel faceplates and relay backplates; furnishing and installing intercom master stations, intercom stations, wiring, door-control components, and associated electrical equipment; and integrating the work with existing systems. The contractor must sequence the work so only one picket is unoccupied at a time, perform testing and adjustment of the door-control system, provide basic operational and maintenance training, and submit product data, delivery schedules, submittals, system diagrams, installation plans, qualifications, and testing documentation with the bid where required. The specifications require detention-grade, non-proprietary equipment, field services, commissioning, and compliance with applicable electrical, fire-safety, security, and construction standards. The solicitation package includes drawings, detailed electrical and intercom specifications, and standard purchasing terms and conditions.
