Description
Harnett County is seeking a qualified transit center planner or designer to evaluate the existing Harnett Area Rural Transit System facility and develop a needs assessment study and conceptual design for expansion or a potential future site. The work must address existing facility limitations, operational and safety concerns, projected transit-service growth, parking and site constraints, and recommendations for building space, site suitability, equipment, materials, finishes, HVAC, plumbing, and waste drainage. Required deliverables include a review of existing facilities and operations, a building space program, potential-site recommendations, an opinion of probable construction cost, a conceptual floor plan, and a basic site-plan concept showing the building, public parking, and access. Respondents must complete the attached cost sheet and submit three counterparts. The resulting agreement is stated to cover December 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
